Sheffield Dance Society are proud to be the biggest activities society within the university, and we hope that we will continue to see lots of new faces joining us!
If you have a passion for dance and want to continue training or just fancy trying a new fun and energising activity to keep fit then Dance Society is definitely for you!

Weekly classes at a range of levels
We hold weekly classes in 8 different styles, as well as a range of workshops. With classes ranging from beginner to advanced, there is something to suit everyone.

It's not just about the dancing!
We also like to take our moves out of the rehearsal rooms and on our exciting socials.
There is also the opportunity to perform and compete with Dance Society in shows and competitions against other universities across the country, as well as at our very own Sheffield University Dance Competition.
And as if that wasn't enough, there are opportunities to volunteer for a local charity, and even an annual tour!
Joining Sheffield Dance Society three years ago has been one of the most enriching experiences of my university life.
From the moment I attended my first dance class, I knew I had found a community that was not only passionate about dance but also genuinely supportive of each other.
