Competitions

Competitions are one of the most exciting parts of Sheffield Dance Society! We compete in 8 different styles at both Intermediate and Advanced levels, as well as solos and duos.

All of our group routines are choreographed by students in the society, so there are loads of opportunities to get involved, whether you’re performing or choreographing. Every year, we also host our very own competition in Sheffield, organised by our Competition Secretaries. Universities from all over the country come to Sheffield for a full day of dancing, competing and, of course, having a lot of fun! It’s always such an incredible day and a highlight of the year.

We also head to 2–3 other competitions throughout the year. Auditions take place in October, with competitions running mainly through February and March. So if you fancy performing, competing and getting involved with an amazing group of dancers, keep an eye out for auditions!
